Independent Media Team
Our Independent Media Team provides a voice and space to all workers. Radio Chamba is place to learn about worker rights in the state of Illinois and to provide direction on how to effectively organize in order to improve conditions in the work place.
Chamba went live on October 2, 2005 and can be heard every Sunday from 1:00pm to 1:30pm through WLUW 88.7 FM. The show may also be streamlined through the internet by visiting www.wluw.org. The “Chamberos” which are made up of radio hosts, interviewers, and editors provide this weekly show collectively and commercial free. The show encompasses an introduction, an interview, musical variety, community announcements, and information about the ACWC. The new Video Chamba team has aired multiple video documentaries on CAN TV (Community Access Network).
